In 1997 Shawn Newland Opened his Fiberglass and Finish company in Naples FL.
Shawn Painted his first car at the age of 13, his interest only grew from there.
In his twenties, his focus was on custom painting and fiberglass work. After moving to Naples Florida in 1997 he started a small fiberglass and detailing business. His experience expanded to include molds, vacuum bagging, heavy structural fiberglass/composite work.
Joining the team in 2010 Shawn's son, Donavon, formed a solid partnership of 2 fiberglass technicians. Donavon came into the business with all of Shawn's knowledge and expanded portions of the business.
We are always learning the latest and greatest methods and expanding our knowledge in our field of expertise.
At Naples Boat Guy We take great pride in all of our work whether its Structural Repair Or Finish Work. We Offer Number of services from stem to stern.

Lets face it if you own a boat eventually you will need a company to take care of a structural or finish problem. Take into consideration this could be as minor as a cosmetic issue to a serious structural issue with the vessel. Owning a boat is a major investment and I believe in having someone you can trust.
A proper fiberglass repair will never show through if it’s done correctly the first time. Unfortunately, many fiberglass and finish technicians have no idea that they’re cheating you because they were never taught the proper way. Their work may look good when it’s finished, but as I have seen too often it’s the wrong way and it will show months later.
-Is the company you hired licensed and insured or just a fly by night?
-Does the company you hired use manufacture materials or are they buying cheaper products?
-Is the company cutting corners from what they said they were going to do?
Things to Consider
-Not all Paints and Gelcoats are created Equal. From Awl Grip to Emron- you cannot fake high quality paints.(You also can't fake an actual professional painter)
-The compound from your average buff and wax is it doing more damage to your finish than good? Do they really know the material they are working on?
-Are they experienced enough to make sure my boat doesn't sink and is structurally sound?
-Are they doing enough prep work so your paint job lasts and never peels off
At Naples Boat Guy you are always dealing with a professional service. We tell you exactly what we are going to do before we do it. We do not cut costs on any products or cut corners on any preparation so our jobs always last and we always have the best of the best.
